Abstract:
A double-sided sealing gate valve, wherein vibration during operation is reduced and the stable sealing performance when the valve is closed by a valve plate is achieved. This gate valve (1) according to the present invention, which opens and closes openings (7, 8) provided on each side of a valve box (2) using a valve plate (3) disposed in the valve box (2), comprises: a valve rod (4) that is supported in the valve box (2) so as to allow the valve rod (4) to be raised/lowered and tilted; a drive mechanism (5) that raises/lowers and tilts the valve rod (4) by a predetermined stroke; a stopper mechanism (6) that is configured from a spring-return stopper pin (30) provided part way along the stroke of the drive mechanism (5), that moves forward and backward by compressed air being supplied or stopped, and that restricts or releases the rising valve rod (4); and a vibration reduction means for reducing vibrations generated while the valve rod (4) is operated by the drive mechanism (5). As the vibration reduction means, a slit (40) is provided in the pin rod (36) of the stopper pin (30) so as to cushion the impact at the time of collision with a load bearing roller (29).
