Abstract:
As a gas separation membrane which suppresses leaks and exhibits excellent carbon dioxide permeability under low temperature conditions, the present invention provides a gas separation membrane (10) having a separation function layer (15) which contains a polymer having a poly(ethylene oxide) structure and satisfies condition [x] and/or condition [y].  When a solution obtained by chemically decomposing the separation function layer using acetic anhydride and p-toluenesulfonic acid monohydrate is measured using a gas chromatography mass spectrometry method, if the peak area of a compound represented by formula (a) is denoted by Pa and the peak area of a compound represented by formula (b) is denoted by Pb in an obtained chromatogram, the relationship of formula (I) is satisfied. Formula (I): (Pb/Pa)×100 ≥ 0.03. The polymer contains crosslinked poly(ethylene oxide), and the melting point of the separation function layer is 60°C or lower.
