Abstract:

Provided is a fuel tank valve device such that a lower portion float valve element, namely a lower float element, that causes an initial full tank condition to be detected, is made to operate smoothly, with the vertical dimension of this fuel tank valve device kept as compact as possible. The fuel tank valve device is provided with: a case which is equipped with a vent valve port, which communicates with the outside of the tank, in the upper portion and a fuel inflow section below the vent valve port, said case divided into an upper chamber and a lower chamber by a partition formed between the vent valve port and the fuel inflow section; an upper float element which is located in the upper chamber and raised by fuel flowing into the case, thereby being seated on the vent valve port; and a lower float element which inserts an upward protruding guide shaft in a vertically movable manner into an insertion section so as to be supported inside the lower chamber of the case, and which is raised by fuel flowing into the case and closes a main communication section between the lower chamber and the upper chamber, said main communication section being formed on the partition. The upper float element is provided with a holding hole wherein the guide shaft of the lower float element is held.
