Abstract:
The fuel shutoff valve (1) is provided with: a casing (2) attached to the top of a fuel tank (T); and a float valve (5) that is furnished within the valve chamber (3) of the casing (2) in a manner so as to be able to rise and fall in accordance with the fluid level within the fuel tank (T), and that shuts off the outflow of liquid fuel by closing an evaporation aperture hole (4) when the float valve has risen up. The fuel shutoff valve (1) is provided with: a fuel shielding chamber (16) wherein the evaporation aperture hole (4) is formed at the top surface (14), an annular horizontal surface (15) is formed around the evaporation aperture hole (4), and a bottom-end aperture section faces the valve chamber (3); and a protruding valve body (11C) that is provided protruding at the top of the float valve (5) and of which the upper end surface closes the evaporation aperture hole (4). The protruding valve body (11C) is positioned at the fuel shielding chamber (16) regardless of the fluid level within the fuel tank (T).
