Abstract:
A friction plate (11) comprising a disc-shaped plate (1A) and friction materials (F1, F2) affixed to a side surface (1a) of the plate (1A). These friction materials (F1, F2) are arranged such that an inner-circumferential side and/or an outer-circumferential side is non-uniform in the inner/outer circumferential directions with respect to the circumferential direction centered on the center (CT1) of the plate (1A). Thus, the amount of lubricating oil picked up by the surface of the friction material segments (F1, F2) increases, and separation force between the friction plate (11) and a separator plate or an end plate in the axial direction increases.
