Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a friction pair formed from a stainless steel disc rotor, and a disc brake pad that is equipped with a friction material formed from a friction material composition containing a bonding material, a fiber base material and a friction adjustment material, but not containing a copper component or iron-based metal fibers, said friction pair making it possible to suppress the generation of metal lumps on the disc rotor friction surface. [Solution] The present invention uses a friction material composition containing 1-6 wt% of trimanganese tetraoxide serving as a friction adjustment material with respect to the total friction material composition amount, but not containing metal fibers.
