Abstract:
The present invention relates to a friction material which comprises a friction regulator, a fiber base material and a binder, wherein: natural graphite having an average particle diameter of 100 µm to 300 µm is contained as the friction regulator; and 15% by mass to 40% by mass of steel fibers that are covered with a metal sulfide are contained as the fiber base material.
