Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a friction material which, regardless of the presence or absence of a copper component, is capable of reducing creep noise, securing sufficient fade resistance, and suppressing hostility to mating material, even when light-load braking is repeated a certain number of times or more. The present invention relates to a friction material containing granulated hematite calcined particles having an average diameter of 25 to 300 µm and a pore volume of 30 to 300 mm3/g.
