[Problem] To provide a forming waste-adsorbing screw capable of adsorbing forming waste that is produced when the forming waste-adsorbing screw is screwed into a workpiece. [Solution] The present invention is a forming waste-adsorbing screw comprising: a head section 2; an externally threaded section 10 that is unified with the head section 2; and a coating material 20 that has been applied around an axis of the externally threaded section 10, wherein the forming waste-adsorbing screw can adsorb forming waste or similar that is produced when the forming waste-adsorbing screw is screwed into a workpiece. The coating material 20 is configured from microcapsules 22, which encapsulate an oil 21 having a lubricating property, and a binder 25 in which said microcapsules 22 can be positioned in a dispersed manner. The microcapsules 22 are configured from gelatinous bodies that include moisture, and the binder 25 is characterized by including an acrylic polymer as the primary component thereof. Consequently, forming waste that is produced when the forming waste-adsorbing screw is screwed into a workpiece readily clings to the binder 25 that has softened and the oil 21 that has adhered around the axis.
