Abstract:
This foreign matter removal device removes foreign particles from a fluid to be treated which contains foreign particles. This foreign matter removal device is equipped with: a storage container which has an intake port, an adsorption discharge port and a desorption discharge port; and a plurality of adsorbents which adsorb and desorb foreign particles and are stored in the storage container. The desorption discharge port is formed above the intake port, or above a jet nozzle port, which is the end section of a pipe extending from the intake port into the storage container. The plurality of adsorbent materials remove the foreign particles from the fluid to be treated by adsorbing the foreign particles which are included in the fluid to be treated which flows from the intake port or jet nozzle port toward the adsorption discharge port, and desorbs the adsorbed foreign particles by causing the same to flow through the storage container by using a cleaning fluid which flows from the intake port or jet nozzle port toward the desorption discharge port. The desorbed foreign particles are discharged from the desorption discharge port.
