Abstract:
A food waste disposer comprises: a housing; a grinding apparatus which is disposed inside the housing so as to grind food waste; an exhaust fan which is disposed inside the housing so as to form an airflow; an exhaust pipe which is connected to the exhaust fan so as to form an exhaust flow path in which air flows, the air being introduced from the grinding apparatus by means of the exhaust fan; a filter assembly which is connected to the exhaust flow path through the exhaust pipe so as to adsorb contaminants from the air flowing along the exhaust flow path; a branching pipe which branches off from the exhaust pipe at a point between the grinding apparatus and the exhaust fan so as to form a connecting flow path communicating with the exhaust flow path; and a sterilizing apparatus which, in order to selectively generate and supply plasma to the exhaust pipe through a suction airflow formed by means of the exhaust fan, is connected to the branching pipe and opens or closes the connecting flow path.
