Abstract:
A folding apparatus (30) and a foldable electronic device (100). The folding apparatus (30) comprises a main shaft mechanism (31) and rotating mechanisms (32), wherein each rotating mechanism (32) comprises a linkage member (321); a rotating end (321a) of the linkage member (321) is fitted with the main shaft mechanism (31) in a rotational manner; and the rotating end (321a) of the linkage member (321) achieves hovering of the folding device (30) and provides a damping tactile sensation by means of the cooperation between cams and a damping mechanism (33). The folding apparatus further comprises a stop member (40), wherein the stop member (40) can be fixed to the linkage member (321) or a connecting member (322); the stop member (40) is provided with a first abutting face (41); and a second abutting face (34) is provided on the main shaft mechanism (31) or the other one of the linkage member (321) and the connector (322). When the folding apparatus (30) is in a flattened state, the first abutting face (41) abuts against the second abutting face (34), so as to stop the rotation of the linkage members (321); and the action of stopping occurs in the folding apparatus (30) and acts on the linkage members (321), which directly cooperate with the damping mechanism (33), such that a tolerance chain for the action of stopping is reduced, and a phenomenon wherein excessive folding is easily caused by a damping structure is directly and effectively reduced, thereby improving a flattening effect.
