Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a folding apparatus and a foldable electronic device, which belong to the technical field of electronic devices, and aim to solve the problem of the damping effect being poor after long-term use of a folding apparatus. The folding apparatus provided in the embodiments of the present application comprises a base, and two rotating members and two damping groups that are mounted on two sides of the base, wherein an arc-shaped swing arm is arranged on each rotating member, and the rotating member is slidably mounted on the base by means of the arc-shaped swing arm, so as to make the two rotating members rotate relative to the base and the rotation directions are opposite to each other; and each damping group comprises a damping member and an elastic member, the damping group being arranged in the base, and by means of an elastic force of the elastic member, the damping member abutting against a side of the arc-shaped swing arm located on the same side as the damping group, so as to form point contact. Due a damping assembly and the arc-shaped swing arm being in point contact, a friction face between the damping assembly and the arc-shaped swing arm is significantly reduced, such that abrasion of the damping assembly can be reduced, and thus, the folding apparatus has a good damping effect after being used long-term.
