The present application relates to a folding apparatus and an electronic device. The folding apparatus comprises a fixed member; and a rotating assembly comprising a first rotating arm and a second rotating arm which are arranged on two sides of the fixed member in the width direction of the folding apparatus, the first rotating arm and the second rotating arm being rotatable relative to the fixed member so that the folding apparatus is in a folded state or an unfolded state. The folding apparatus further comprises a stop member, wherein the stop member is connected to the fixed member in a fixed or limited mode; the first rotating arm and the second rotating arm rotate in opposite directions until the folding apparatus is in the unfolded state; the stop member abuts against the rotating assembly to limit the first rotating arm and the second rotating arm to continue to rotate in opposite directions, so as to limit the folding apparatus and the electronic device in the unfolded state. The use experience of the electronic device in the unfolded state is improved, the flatness of a flexible screen in the unfolded state is high, and the pull of the folding apparatus on the flexible screen in the unfolded state is reduced, thereby improving the safety and prolonging the service life of the flexible screen.
