Abstract:
Disclosed are a folding apparatus (100) and an electronic device (1000) comprising the folding apparatus and a flexible screen (200). The folding apparatus (100) comprises a main shaft assembly (11) and housings respectively arranged on two sides of the main shaft assembly (11), wherein a swing arm is rotatably connected to the main shaft assembly (11), and is fixedly connected to the housing located on the same side; and a support plate is rotatably connected to the main shaft assembly (11), and is slidably connected to the swing arm or the housing located on the same side. The housings on the two sides rotate relative to the main shaft assembly (11) by means of the swing arm, and the housings rotate to drive the support plate to slide relative to the housings, such that the support plate and the main shaft assembly (11) together define, in a closed state of the electronic device (1000), an accommodating space for accommodating the flexible screen (200), and the support plate and the main shaft assembly (11) together support the flexible screen (200) in an unfolded state of the electronic device (1000), such that the surface of the flexible screen is flat, thereby achieving the effects of folding and supporting, and in the closed state, the housings on the two sides can be completely closed without gaps, making the whole machine uniform in thickness, thereby improving the folding effect.
