Abstract:
A foldable electronic device and a rotary shaft mechanism thereof. The electronic device comprises a first housing (2), a second housing (3), a rotary shaft mechanism (1), a flexible display screen (4), and an end cover (108). The first housing (2) and the second housing (3) open and close relative to one another by means of the rotary shaft mechanism (1). The flexible display screen (4) continuously covers the first housing (2), the second housing (3), and the rotary shaft mechanism (1), and is fixedly connected to the first housing (2) and the second housing (3). The rotary shaft mechanism (1) comprises a base (102), and at least part of the base (102) can be accommodated in a first accommodating groove (1081) of the end cover (108). A side of the first housing (2) facing away from the flexible display screen (4) is provided with a first outer viewing surface (201), the base (102) is provided with a first arc-shaped groove (1026), and when the electronic device is switched between a closed state and an open state, at least part of the first housing (2) rotates in the first arc-shaped groove (1026); and when the electronic device is in the closed state and in the open state, the first outer viewing surface (201) overlaps with the groove surface of the first accommodating groove (1081). Such a design of the rotary shaft mechanism simplifies the structure of the electronic device.
