Abstract:
This foil bearing (1) is provided with a foil holder (10) and foil (20) attached to the foil holder (10). The foil (20) is provided with: a body section (21) including a bearing surface (A); and a locking section (22) that can engage with the foil holder (10) in the circumferential direction (the rotational direction of a shaft (2)). The locking section (22) is disposed in a region different from the bearing surface (A) in a rotation-orthogonal direction (the axial direction of a radial foil bearing) that is orthogonal to the direction of rotation in a plane that follows the bearing surface (A).
