Abstract:
Provided is a fluid leakage detection system which is for a marine hose and which ensures detection of fluid leakage from the marine hose without substantially changing the structure of the marine hose. When a fluid L flowing through a flow path 1a flows into a fluid retaining layer 7 provided between an inner circumferential reinforcing layer 4 and an outer circumferential reinforcing layer 6, a passive IC tag 10 installed inside the fluid retaining layer 7 at a prescribed longitudinal position of a marine hose 1 is immersed in or surrounded by the inflow fluid L, and a radio wave W2, generated in response to a radio wave W1 transmitted from a radio wave transmitter 14a disposed outside the marine hose 1, cannot be transmitted or becomes weak. Thus, whether there is leakage of the fluid L from the flow path 1a can be determined on the basis of the intensity of the radio wave W2 received by a radio wave receiver 14b disposed outside the marine hose 1.
