Abstract:
A fluid connector equipped with: an impeller to which power from a drive source is input; a turbine that is arranged opposing the impeller and transmits power to the output shaft of the fluid connector; a magnetic fluid that fills the torus formed by the impeller and the turbine as a working fluid, and the viscosity of which changes in response to the operation of a magnetic field; and a magnetic field generation unit that causes a magnetic field to operate on the magnetic fluid in an outer peripheral gap, which is the gap formed at the outer peripheral side of the torus between the turbine and the impeller, and an inner peripheral gap, which is gap formed at the inner peripheral side of the torus between the turbine and the impeller.
