Abstract:
This fluid dynamic pressure bearing device is provided with: a cylindrical oil holding space 13 which is provided between an upper end outer peripheral section of a bearing member 8 and a cylindrical section of a housing 7, and which can hold the oil surface of a lubrication oil 11; and an axial gap 22 which is formed on an upper end surface 8c of the bearing member 8 and has a radially inside end portion connected to a seal gap S. An annular section 71b in contact with the upper end surface 8c of the bearing member 8 is provided, and the oil holding space 13 and the axial gap 22 are communicated through a second passage 22 formed as a groove section provided in at least one among the upper end surface 8c of the bearing member 8 and a lower end surface 71b1 of the annular section 71b, the lower end surface 71b1 contacting the upper end surface 8c.
