Abstract:
Provided are a fluid balancer capable of smoothly moving a slider and a machine tool.
A fluid balancer (18) comprises: a shaft (30); a cylinder (34); a base member (32) which includes a through hole (320) through which the shaft (30) is inserted; a spacer (50) which is provided between the shaft (30) and the base member (32), and includes a plurality of grooves (52) which are formed in a surface opposed to the shaft (30) in the circumferential direction of the shaft (30) at intervals and extend along the axial direction of the shaft (30); and an elastic support portion (60) which supports the spacer (50) with respect to the base member (32).
