Abstract:
A floating type brake pad, comprising: a brake pad back plate (1), provided thereon with a spotface (2) and a positioning hole (3) thereon; a friction body (4), comprising a friction part (5) and a positioning part (6) inserted into the positioning hole (3), a first relative gap (7) being present between the positioning part (6) and the positioning hole (3); a connection piece (8), for arranging the friction body (4) on the brake pad back plate (1) in a floating manner; and an elastic supporting piece (9), installed in the spotface (2) and connected to the friction body (4), wherein a guide hole suitable for allowing the positioning part (6) to penetrate is formed in the elastic supporting piece (9), and the edge of the outline of the elastic supporting piece (9) abuts against the inner side wall of the spotface (2), or a second relative gap (10) smaller than the first relative gap (7) is formed therebetween. The present invention solves the problem of existing floating type brake pads undergoing serious position bias in the horizontal direction when influenced by the action of brake friction force or vehicle vibration, whereby a friction body loses the best brake working surface, the brake effect is influenced, which could even cause a connection piece connected to a brake pad back plate and the friction body to deform or even break due to shear force, the brake effect of the brake pad is reduced, and the service life of the brake pad is shortened.
