CLAIMS A flannel fabric production method which enables utilizing waste fabric owned by end-user, incentivizing the end-user by way of rewards, eliminating the need for waste sorting and thereby preventing loss of productivity and time, and converting the waste fabric owned by the enduser into the flannel fabric, a product with high added-value, and thus preventing loss and waste, and its feature is that it consists of the following process steps:

- collecting the end user’s waste cotton products at stores by way of campaigns for eliminating the need to sort wastes;

- converting the collected waste cotton products into fiber at fiber opening facility;

- blending the recycled fiber and virgin cotton at a rate of 30% and 70%, respectively, in regard to the total blend amount;

- obtaining wefts of Ne 8/1 and warps of Ne 20/1 from the blend by drawing process and obtaining fabric having weft density of 13.5 ends/centimeter and warp density of 20 ends/centimeter by way of weaving the threads; and

- turning the woven fabric into flannel by napping it through raising process.

Description:
A FLANNEL FABRIC PRODUCTION METHOD UTILIZING END-USER’S WASTE FABRIC

TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention relates to a flannel fabric production method which enables utilizing waste fabric owned by end-user, incentivizing the end-user by way of rewards, eliminating the need for waste sorting and thereby preventing loss of productivity and time, and converting the waste fabric owned by the end-user into the flannel fabric, a product with high added-value, and thus preventing loss and waste.

BACKGROUND ART

Today, end users’ waste products such as paper, plastic, metal, fabric, and the like are collected with various methods for recycling purposes. These collected waste products contain different materials therein since they are typically not sorted, and this leads to a reduction in the quality of yams obtained from these waste products and of the fabric produced with such yams.

Due to the reasons explained hereinabove, in order to manufacture flannel fabric, 100% cotton waste products should be collected from the end-user and should be worked on.

In conclusion, the abovementioned shortcomings and the inadequacy of the current practice entail an improvement in the respective technical field. Thus, there is a need for an invention to overcome the described problems.

OBJECTIVE OF THE INVENTION

Developed for eliminating the aforementioned disadvantages and providing new advantages to the respective technical field, the present invention relates to a flannel fabric production method utilizing the end-user’s waste fabric. The objectives of the present invention can be listed as follows: to obtain new fabric by utilizing the end user’s waste fabrics and thereby convert wastes into a product with high added-value, to provide an opportunity to obtain flannel fabric by way of recycling, to reward the end-user by collecting waste fabric at stores and thus incentivize the end-user for the collection of waste fabric, to eliminate the need for waste sorting and thus achieve saving on expenses and time, to prevent waste by utilizing waste fabrics, to provide fabric to be recycled during this period of cotton supply shortage, and to obtain quality fabrics from waste fabrics.

Structural and characteristic features of the invention, as well as all of its advantages, will be understood more clearly with the detailed description provided below, and therefore, the evaluation should be made by taking into consideration of the said detailed description.

DETAILED EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

The preferred alternatives in this detailed description of the method of the present invention are only intended for providing a better understanding of the subject matter and should not be construed in any restrictive sense.

The invention relates to a flannel fabric production method which enables utilizing waste fabric owned by the end-user, incentivizing the end-user by way of rewards, eliminating the need for waste sorting and thereby preventing loss of productivity and time, and converting the waste fabric owned by the end-user into the flannel fabric, a product with high added-value, and thus preventing loss and waste.

The method of the present invention typically consists of the following process steps: collecting end user’s waste cotton products at stores by way of campaigns for eliminating the need to sort wastes, converting the collected waste cotton products into fiber at fiber opening facility, blending the recycled fiber and the virgin cotton at a rate of 30% and 70%, respectively, in regard to the total blend amount, obtaining wefts of Ne 8/1 and warps of Ne 20/1 from the blend by drawing process and obtaining fabric having weft density of 13.5 ends/centimeter and warp density of 20 ends/centimeter by way of weaving the threads, and turning the woven fabric into flannel by napping it through raising process.

Being the first endeavor in terms of obtaining flannel fabric from recycled material, the method of the present invention prevents losses relating to cotton and reproduction and recovers waste products by way of recycling waste cotton materials owned by the end-users. The obtained flannel fabric is distinguished in that it is eco-friendly and is manufactured from end user’s waste. The obtained flannel fabric has a structure suitable for all dyeing processes except for digital printing.
