Abstract:
Provided are: a filter medium, the adsorptivity of which can be rapidly restored by backwashing, and which renders efficient operation of a filtration device possible; a process for producing the filter medium; a filtration device; a method for operating the filtration device; and a filtration system. This filter medium is characterized by comprising a carbon-based material in which the cumulative volume of pores having a pore radius of 2 nm or less is up to 25% of the cumulative volume of pores having a pore radius of 50 nm or less.
