Abstract:

A filter (1), provided with a main structure formed from a first substance (2) having a relatively high melting point, a secondary structure formed from a second substance (3) having a lower melting point relative to the first substance (2), and a gap. A filter (1), the air permeability of which can be controlled, can thereby be provided, and a gas adsorption device that uses the filter (1) can control a gas transmission rate. Furthermore, in a vacuum heat insulator that uses the gas adsorption device, a gas adsorbent can selectively adsorb a non-condensable gas even when the gas includes water vapor. Consequently, the inside of the vacuum heat insulator can be maintained at low pressure for a long time, and heat insulation performance can be maintained.
