Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are a feeding control method for a vertical grinding machine, and a vertical grinding machine. The vertical grinding machine utilizes a mode of feeding from below and discharging from above. The feeding control method comprises: acquiring, in real time, an upper-part grinding-medium distribution density signal of an upper part of a grinding cavity and a lower-part grinding-medium distribution density signal of a lower part the grinding cavity; determining whether the ratio of a signal value indicated by the upper-part grinding-medium distribution density signal to a signal value indicated by the lower-part grinding-medium distribution density signal is within a preset interval range, wherein the upper-part grinding-medium distribution density signal and the lower-part grinding-medium distribution density signal are acquired at the same time point; and if a determination result indicates that the ratio is not within the preset interval range, adjusting the feeding flow of a grinding machine until the acquired ratio of the signal value indicated by the upper-part grinding-medium distribution density signal to the signal value indicated by the lower-part grinding-medium distribution density signal is within the preset interval range. By means of flow adjustment, the fluid power, gravity and buoyancy of a grinding medium in a grinding cavity are balanced, and the grinding medium is substantially suspended in the grinding cavity, thereby ensuring the uniformity of the grinding medium in the grinding cavity and improving the grinding efficiency.
