A faucet (4) and a water diverter valve core (10) thereof. The water diverter valve core (10) comprises a housing (1), a rotating column (2), and a poking member (36); one end of the poking member (36) is connected to the rotating column (2), and the other end of the poking member (36) penetrates through a strip groove (134) and extends out of the housing (1); when sliding along the strip groove (134), the poking member (36) can drive the rotating column (2) to rotate; when the rotating column (2) rotates to a first position, an outer water inlet flow channel (116) can be communicated with an inner water outlet flow channel (212); when the rotating column (2) rotates to a second position, one end of an inner water inlet flow channel (231) can be communicated with a first outer water outlet flow channel (114), and the other end of the inner water inlet flow channel (231) can be communicated with a first water inlet (135). When the water diverter valve core (10) is used, the poking member (36) can be slid in the circumferential direction to switch water paths in the water diverter valve core (10), and the water diverter valve core (10) is small in size and simple in structure.
