Abstract:
An extendable device which is easily installable when installed between wall
surfaces. The extendable device comprises an outer pipe (1) having one end brought
into contact with one of the wall surfaces (W), an inner pipe (2) having one end
inserted into the other end of the outer pipe (1) so as to be movable in the longitudinal
direction and having the other end with a diameter smaller than the diameter of
the outer pipe (1) in contact with the other of the wall surfaces (W), contact members
(6) provided at the wall surface side end of at least one of these two pipes and abutting
on the wall surface, an elastic body (25) installed between the contact member
(6) and the pipe for movingly biasing the contact member (6) in the direction that
they project toward the wall surface side relative to the pipe, and a fixing means
(3) provided between the inner pipe (2) and the outer pipe (1) and stopping the
longitudinal movement of the both pipes (1, 2).
