Abstract:
An exhaust gas purifying device (10) for an internal combustion engine is provided with: an inlet-side case having an inlet pipe (16) provided thereto; a catalyst case (12) having contained therein an oxidizing catalyst for dosing; a filter case (13) having a soot filter contained therein; and an outlet-side case (14) having an outlet pipe (18) provided thereto. The exhaust gas purifying device (10) is mounted to a mounting section at two positions separated from each other in the axial direction of the cases (12, 13). Among the two mounting positions, at the mounting position of the catalyst case (12), the catalyst case (12) is firmly fixed, and at the mounting position of the filter case (13), the filter case (13) is mounted so as to be slidable in the axial direction thereof.
