Abstract:
The engine system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a circulation flow path for taking in gas from a scavenging flow path or from a portion of an EGR flow path downstream of an EGR blower and supplying the intake gas to a portion of the EGR flow path upstream of the EGR blower as circulation gas, and, when the target extraction amount of exhaust gas extracted from an exhaust flow path is at or below a predetermined lower limit, supplies the circulation gas to the portion of the EGR flow path upstream of the EGR blower so that the total amount of gas passing through the EGR blower exceeds the lower limit.
