Abstract:
Provided are an endoscope device, an endoscope processor, and an endoscope device operation method, that allow an illumination light (observation mode) to be switched automatically when a detection target has been detected from an image, thereby reducing the burden of the switching operation on an operator. The invention comprises: sequentially capturing images of a subject with an endoscopy scope in a first observation mode using a first illumination light (white light); determining whether or not a detection target was continuously detected from the sequentially captured images, and if the detection target is determined to have been continuously detected, switching automatically to a second observation mode wherein a second illumination light (special light) is emitted; and after switching to the second observation mode, switching automatically from the second observation mode to the first observation mode after a given time interval has elapsed.
