Abstract:
Provided are an electrorheological fluid having high yield stress at high temperatures, and a cylinder device. An electrorheological fluid 100 according to the present invention is characterized by containing a fluid 101 and polyurethane particles 102 formed of an isocyanate and a polyol, and is characterized in that the polyurethane particles 102 contain metal ions, and the equivalent ratio of the isocyanate forming the polyurethane particles 102 is 0.95-1.5.
