Abstract:
An electrophotographic photosensitive body characterized in that, in a photosensitive body comprising, on a conductive support body, a photosensitive layer and a protective layer containing a cured product obtained by curing a curable compound, in that order, if the area of absorbance of wavelengths 1647 cm-1 to 1627 cm-1 when the infrared absorption spectrum of the protective layer is measured is A, and the area of peak absorbance of wavelengths 1800 cm-1 to 1647 cm-1 at such time is B, the area ratio A/B is no greater than 0.0045, and further characterized in that the photosensitive layer contains at least a hole transport material (HTM) and a radical acceptor compound, said electrophotographic photosensitive body having a good initial electric characteristic and a high degree of hardness of the protective layer, and further, excelling in a strong exposure characteristic and a transfer repetition characteristic.
