An electronic expansion valve and a monitoring method for the electronic expansion valve. The electronic expansion valve comprises: a frame body (10), wherein the frame body (10) is provided with an accommodating cavity (20) and a mounting cavity (30); and an induction magnetic ring (40), wherein the induction magnetic ring (40) is movably arranged in the accommodating cavity (20) along the height direction of the accommodating cavity (20), and the mounting cavity (30) is at least located at the circumferential outer side of the moving area of the accommodating cavity (20) where the induction magnetic ring (40) is located; and at least two Hall sensors (50) are provided, located in the mounting cavity (30), arranged around the circumferential side of the accommodating cavity (20) and located at the same height; the induction magnetic ring (40) is always within the detection range of the Hall sensors (50), thereby solving the problem that the rotating condition of a rotor cannot be judged in an electronic expansion valve in the prior art.
