Abstract:
Provided is a small electronic device that can accurately detect touch operations on an operation member capable of rotating operation. An electronic device 100 has an operation member 302 capable of rotating operation, a rotation detection substrate 306 provided with a rotation detection means that detects rotation of the operation member, a capacitance detection means 305a that is provided inside the operation member and that outputs a detection signal corresponding to capacitance, a signal transmission means 308 that transmits the detection signal to the rotation detection substrate, and a touch operation detection means 82a to which the detection signal is inputted via the rotation detection substrate and which detects tap operations and slide operations serving as touch operations on the basis of changes in the detection signal due to touch operations performed on the outer surface of the operation member.
