Abstract:
Regarding an electronic device and an operation method of same according to an embodiment, the electronic device comprises: a communication module that includes a processor and a communication circuit that supports short-range wireless communication through a plurality of links; and an application processor electrically connected to the communication module through an interface supporting a plurality of operation modes. The processor may be configured to: confirm the maximum data rate of each of the plurality of links on the basis of capability information, received from an external electronic device, about the external electronic device; confirm the maximum data rate of the plurality of links on the basis of an operation mode of the short-range wireless communication; select one of a plurality of operation modes of the interface on the basis of the maximum data rate of the plurality of links; and transmit data to the application processor through the selected operation mode, or receive data, transmitted by the application processor, through the selected interface. Various other embodiments are possible.
