Abstract:
An image forming apparatus (100) provided with: a display (131); a touch panel (132); an authentication section (111); and a control section (113). The authentication section (111) permits a login if user information received via the touch panel (132) matches predetermined authentication user information, and carries out a logout process in accordance with a logout input received via the touch panel. The control section (113) causes the display to display a plurality of icons; upon receiving via the touch panel (132) a touch operation carried out with respect to any one of the plurality of icons, carries out a job corresponding to an icon touched; and controls a display state of the touch panel (131) so as to cause a display state of a specific icon area for the logout input to differ from a display state of at least part of an area that is different from and outside the specific icon area, in accordance with how the job that is being carried out is progressing.
