Disclosed is an electronic device and an operation method thereof, the electronic device comprising a display, a memory that stores at least one instruction, and at least one processor that executes the at least one instruction stored in the memory. The at least one processor: acquires an input document including elements; recognizes the elements in the input document; classifies the type of the input document on the basis of the types of the recognized elements; arranges the recognized elements in a single row according to an identified order on the basis of the classified type of the input document, thereby acquiring a revised document; and displays the acquired revised document on the display.
