Abstract:
An electronic device is disclosed. The present electronic device comprises a memory in which a 3D model converter is stored, and a processor that acquires data for creating a 3D model for an item used in a selected metaverse by inputting, to the 3D model converter, an image including the item and information about the metaverse selected from among a plurality of metaverses, on the basis of a user input, wherein the data for creating a 3D model for an item includes shape data and texture data of the 3D model for the item, and the processor: extracts feature data of the item by inputting the image; identifies, on the basis of the feature data of the item, whether feature data of the 3D model, which corresponds to the feature data of the item, are present among feature data of the respective 3D models for a plurality of items which are used in the selected metaverse; if the feature data of the 3D model is identified to be present, acquires the shape data of the 3D model for the item by inputting, to the 3D model converter, the feature data of the item and the feature data of the 3D model; if the feature data of the 3D model is identified not to be present, acquires the shape data of the 3D model for the item by inputting, to the 3D model converter, the feature data of the item; and acquires texture data of the 3D model for the item by inputting, to the 3D model converter, the feature data of the item and the shape data of the 3D model for the item.
