Abstract:
An electronic device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a plurality of cameras having different focal lengths; a distance sensor for detecting the distance to an object located in a first area; a motion sensor for detecting movement or rotation of the electronic device; and at least one processor operatively connected to the plurality of cameras, the distance sensor and the motion sensor, wherein the at least one processor can be configured to receive, from the distance sensor, data on the distance to the object and, from the motion sensor, motion data related to the movement or rotation of the electronic device, generate, on the basis of the motion data, a distance map for a second area including at least a part of the first area, such that the distance data corresponds to the first area, and determine, on the basis of the distance map, a camera that is to capture an image from among the plurality of cameras.
