Abstract:
An electronic device according to various embodiments comprises: a housing; an antenna arranged inside the housing or formed at a portion of the housing; a grip sensor that detects contacting or approaching of an external object, and a processor operably connected to the antenna and the grip sensor, wherein the processor may be configured to: identify a first sensing value of the grip sensor; if the identified first sensing value is less than or equal to a first reference value, then determine output power of the antenna to be first strength; if a second sensing value of the grip sensor identified after the identifying of the first sensing value is greater than the first reference value and less than or equal to a second reference value that is greater than the first reference value, then identify whether the electronic device is in use or not in use, on the basis of whether there is a user input with respect to the electronic device; and if the electronic device is not in use, then determine the output power of the antenna to be the first strength or second strength less than the first strength, on the basis of a third reference value and a third sensing value of the grip sensor identified after the identifying of the second sensing value.
