Abstract:
This electromagnetic shock absorber (D) comprises: a non-magnetic cylinder (1); a piston rod (2); an extension-side piston (3) that defines an extension-side chamber (R1) within the cylinder (1); a compression-side piston (4) that defines a compression-side chamber (R2) within the cylinder (1); a linear motor (LM) that is provided with a magnetic field (F) and an armature (E) attached to the piston rod (2) between the extension-side piston (3) and the compression-side piston (4); a gas that is filled in the extension-side chamber (R1) and the compression-side chamber (R2); a cooling passage (CP) that faces the armature (E); an extension-side restriction part (ER) that applies resistance to the flow of gas from the extension-side chamber (R1) to the cooling passage (CP); an extension-side rectification part (EC) that permits only the flow of gas from the cooling passage (CP) to the extension-side chamber (R1); a compression-side restriction part (CR) that applies resistance to the flow of gas from the compression-side chamber (R2) to the cooling passage (CP); and a compression-side rectification part (CC) that permits only the flow of gas from the cooling passage (CP) to the compression-side chamber (R2).
