Abstract:
Provided is an electromagnetic connection device with which exposure of the elastic member to the friction surface is prevented while high damping effects are obtained and for which productivity is increased. The electromagnetic connection device is equipped with an armature (4), a rotor (3), an electromagnetic coil (14), and a spring member (24) for biasing the armature (4) away from the rotor (3). The armature (4) is provided with a damping member (25) that is attached so as to face the rotor (3). The armature (4) has a flat section (22) and a cylindrical section (8). The damping member (25) is provided with: a damper cover (26) with a contact section that lies along the flat section (22) and an engaging section that lies along the cylindrical section (8); and an elastic member (27) that is interposed between the contact section and the flat section (22). The damper cover (26) is capped on the armature (4) from the rotor (3)-side and is held on the cylindrical section (8) so as to allow movement. The flat section (22) has a recessed area (35) for accommodating the contact section of the damper cover (26).
