Abstract:
This electrolytic smelting furnace is provided with: a plurality of electrolytic furnaces aligned vertically; connecting pipes that extend vertically and allow the bottom surface of an upper electrolytic furnace to communicate with a lower electrolytic furnace among adjacent electrolytic furnaces; and electrodes provided in each of the electrolytic furnaces, wherein the bottom surfaces of the electrolytic furnaces are tilted to slope downward toward the connecting pipes. As a result, molten iron generated in the electrolytic furnaces can be made to flow under its own weight to the connecting pipes.
