Abstract:
An electrolyte and a battery comprising the electrolyte. The electrolyte comprises a first additive and a second additive. The first additive is an unsaturated cyclic compound containing a sulfonic acid group, and the sulfonic acid group can form lithium alkyl sulfonate RSO3Li on the surface of a negative electrode. The second additive is a polynitrile compound, and the nitrile functional group contained in the polynitrile compound is an electron withdrawing group having a relatively large dipole moment, which has a relatively low binding energy with Co3+ and is easier to enrich on the surface of the positive electrode to be complexed, thereby effectively suppressing dissolution of metal ions and further oxidative decomposition of the electrolyte. The second additive can further form a polymerization network structure with the first additive, such that the first additive and the second additive jointly act on the surface of the positive electrode, thereby reducing the side reactions of the positive electrode and the electrolyte. When the content A of the first additive and the content B of the second additive in the electrolyte satisfy the relational expression: 0.7≤2A/(A+B)≤1, the two additives can achieve an optimal protection effect and can achieve an effective barrier effect, thereby remarkably improving the safety performance of batteries.
