Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing an electrode assembly, comprising: an electrode sheet supply part for supplying an electrode sheet having an electrode mixture coated portion and an electrode mixture uncoated portion formed thereon; a cutting part disposed behind the electrode sheet supply part and forming an electrode tab on the electrode sheet; a lamination part disposed behind the electrode sheet supply part and bonding positive and negative electrodes stacked such that a separator is interposed therebetween, wherein the cutting part comprises a die supporting the electrode sheet and an ultrasound cutter spaced apart from the die so as to form the electrode tab. A cutting line on a blade of the ultrasound cutter is formed in a shape corresponding to the outer periphery in the direction in which the electrode tab is formed in a unit electrode, and the cutting part and the lamination part are arranged on the same process line such that a continuous process is performed, and thus, it is possible to reduce a space required for manufacturing the electrode assembly, to prevent deformation of electrode sheet foil on a cut surface of the electrode sheet, and to prevent damage to an electrode mixture layer.
