Abstract:
The present invention provides an electroconductive roll for an electrophotographic device, the surface layer of the electroconductive roll having excellent resistance uniformity by, when a water-based coating is used, inhibiting the agglomeration of carbon black included in the surface layer. Provided is an electroconductive roll 10 for an electrophotographic device, the electroconductive roll 10 comprising a spindle body 12, an elastic body layer 14 formed on the outer periphery of the spindle body 12, and a surface layer 16 formed on the outer periphery of the elastic body layer 14, and the surface layer 16 being formed from an emulsion composition containing components (a) through (d): (a) an aqueous polyurethane resin; (b) a urethane curing agent; (c) an associative thickener; and (d) carbon black.
