Abstract:
Provided is an electrically driven vehicle that is easy to start even when there is load applied, and which does not have rotational resistance by the electric motor generated when the vehicle is push-walked. The electrically driven vehicle (1) is equipped with a swing arm (12) that has its axis swingably supported by a swing arm pivot (11) mounted on a bodywork frame (2), and which supports the axis of the rear wheel (WR) rotatably; and an electric motor (50) that is provided in prescribed arrangement within the swing arm (12) so as to overlap with the rear wheel (WR) as viewed from the side face of the bodywork, and which supplies rotating driving force to the rear wheel (WR) via a speed reduction mechanism (70). A connection cutoff mechanism is provided between the electric motor (50) and the speed reduction mechanism (70), said connection cutoff mechanism switching the transmission of the rotating driving force from a cutoff state to a connected state when the rotation of the electric motor (50) becomes equal to or faster than a prescribed rotation speed. The connection cutoff mechanism is a centrifugal clutch (40). The swing arm (12) is configured as a cantilever-type, supported only at the left side in the vehicle-width direction, and is to be arranged in a prescribed sequence of the centrifugal clutch (40), the electric motor (50), and the speed reduction mechanism (70), from the left side in the vehicle-width direction.
