Abstract:

Provided is an electric direct-acting actuator making it possible to precisely control the axial position of an outer ring member. This electric direct-acting actuator includes: a rotating shaft (10) driven by an electric motor (15); a plurality of planetary rollers (11) that are in rolling contact with the cylindrical surface of the outer periphery of the rotating shaft (10); a carrier (13) for rotatably and revolvably holding the plurality of planetary rollers (11), the axial movement thereof being regulated; an outer ring member (12) arranged so as to enclose the plurality of planetary rollers (11) and supported slidably in the axial direction; a spiral ridge (22) provided to the inner periphery of the outer ring member (12); and a circumferential groove (23) provided to the outer peripheries of the planetary rollers (11) so as to engage with the spiral ridge (22); the rotation of the rotating shaft (10) being converted to linear motion of the outer ring member (12), wherein a revolution sensor (33) for detecting the angle of rotation of the carrier (13) is provided.
