Abstract:
An electric braking device 10 generates a braking force at a wheel 13 via application of a pressing force by a piston 19 by linear motion of the piston 19 in response to the transmission of a forward-direction rotational torque from an electric motor 15 to a linear motion conversion mechanism 16. The electric braking device 10 is provided with a one-way clutch 42 that cuts off the transmission of a rotational torque between the electric motor 15 and the linear motion conversion mechanism 16 when a rotational torque which is in a direction opposite from the forward direction and the magnitude of which is a predetermined value or more is applied.
